Join us

Join us for a choice of a 1 ½, a 7  or 9 mile delightful walk from Eccleston, a charming Eaton estate village, along the Marches Way beside the River Dee into the centre of Chester.

On the 9 mile walk you'll get an excellent view from the city walls vantage point, before returning to Eccleston along the tree-lined Duke's Drive.

Fundraising

We suggest that all walkers aim to raise at least £50. Your entry fee goes towards the cost of organising the walk, but by raising £50 in sponsorship, you can make a huge difference to the lives of people with Parkinson’s.

More details

Dogs: are welcome but we ask that you are responsible and ensure that you clean up after your dog during the walk and keep your dog on a lead.

Accessibility: Part of the walk is through fields. The 9 mile route continues around the city walls which includes some steps and uneven surfaces. The 7 mile route avoids the city walls so is more easily accessible.

Toilets: There are toilets after crossing the footbridge into the city on the 9 mile route. Those on the 7 mile route will need to make a short detour to reach these toilets.

Car park: There is a small car park at the school, please car share where possible as parking is limited.

Refreshments: We’ll provide you with water and there will be some refreshments on sale at the start/finish point but it’s a good idea to have something with you to keep your energy levels up!

Walk packs: your walk T-shirt and fundraising pack will be sent soon after your registration and your number and on the day information will be sent the week prior to the walk.

Registration: Please note registration closes just over a week prior to the event. On-the-day registration will be available but will be cash only and will cost £15 for adults and £7.50 for under 16s.
