Learning hub
The Excellence Network learning hub offers training programmes for professionals to improve the quality of care for people with Parkinson's.
Developing an expert health and social care workforce is crucial – and a priority for the Excellence Network.
We provide learning that is suitable for all levels of staff working across different disciplines.
We collaborate with Excellence Network members across all disciplines and people with Parkinson's to develop our learning content.

Learning pathways

If you have any questions or suggestions for the pathways, please get in touch.
Choose a learning pathway
This pathway provides easy identification and access to relevant learning which has been mapped to the 2017 Parkinson's nurse competencies and stratified NHS bands.
This pathway provides information about training resources and professional development opportunities for therapists.
This pathway identifies and provides easy access to relevant learning by experience level for pharmacy staff, care staff, doctors (all), nurses, HCAs, psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, social care assessors, dietitians and all other health and care staff.

What is Parkinson's?
There's currently no cure for Parkinson's and we don't yet know why people get the condition.
Symptoms vary from person to person, and Parkinson's medication can often cause additional side effects.
