A group of Excellence Network professionals in a hospital

Learning hub

The Excellence Network learning hub offers training programmes for professionals to improve the quality of care for people affected by Parkinson's.

Developing an expert health and social care workforce is crucial – and a priority for the Excellence Network.

We provide learning that is suitable for all levels of staff working across different disciplines. Our varied offer includes accredited training, study days, online sessions, train the trainer and volunteer led learning programmes.

We collaborate with Excellence Network members across all disciplines and people affected by Parkinson's to develop our learning content.

You can browse all our of events and learning in the directory, follow one of our learning pathways or download our learning programme leaflet (PDF, 1MB).

We have developed 3 learning pathways, each for a different specialism. The pathways are designed to take you through a programme of learning that is relevant to your profession or experience.

What is Parkinson's?

There's currently no cure for Parkinson's and we don't yet know why people get the condition.

Symptoms vary from person to person, and Parkinson's medication can often cause additional side effects.
