Annual general meeting and trustee elections

Our annual general meeting (AGM) is an opportunity for our members to ask questions and find out more about how we're run, what we’ve achieved over the last year and our future plans.

Trustee elections for Wales

We’re looking for candidates to stand for election and become a charity trustee for Wales. If elected, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping how Parkinson’s UK helps people living with Parkinson’s. Duties include:

  • representing our home nation members
  • understanding and developing strategies to address the community’s needs
  • being a point of contact for staff and volunteers
  • directing strategy, management and administration
  • providing constructive feedback to the chief executive and the Executive Leadership Team.

If you’d like to stand for election, have questions or need more information, contact the Governance team at [email protected]. Please submit your application with supporting nominations by the deadline of 1 August 2024.

2023 AGM

Thank you to everyone who attended the 2023 AGM and community event, either online or in person.

Trustee elections

At the 2023 AGM, members received the ballot results of the 2023 trustee results. Trustees were elected for 4-year terms.

We congratulate 3 trustees who were re-elected: Jane Burston for England, Kyle Alexander for Northern Ireland, and Brian Carson for Scotland. Kate Platts was elected as a new trustee for England.
