Our Local Development teams - consisting of volunteers and members of the NI team and led by our area development managers (ADMs) - are working to identify the needs of the Parkinson's community right across Northern Ireland.

Our teams work alongside people living with Parkinson's, family members, carers, volunteers and health and social care professionals to identify gaps in services and, in partnership, plan and deliver activities to best meet the need.

We are developing and delivering a range of activities, complementing the services offered by our local group network.

Register now for the 2019 UK Parkinson's audit.

Elderly care, neurology, physiotherapy, occupational therapy and speech and language therapy services can take part in the 2019 Audit.

The UK Parkinson's Audit is the recognised quality improvement tool for Parkinson’s services. It allows measurement of practice against evidence-based standards and patient feedback in a continuous cycle of improvement.

    Benefits of taking part:

    • It's quick and easy.
    • There are no costs involved.
    • The Patient Reported Experience Measure (PREM) patient questionnaire only needs to be completed by ten patients and provides detailed patient feedback.
    • All services receive an Individual Service Report benchmarking their results against the UK-wide results for their specialty.
    • Taking part is recognition that a service is committed to quality and improvement.
    • The audit can provide evidence to build business cases and attract funding for service improvement from internal and external sources.

All of the information your service needs to register for the 2019 UK Parkinson's Audit and begin, or continue, your cycle of improvement can be found here.

For more information, contact us at [email protected].

The closing date for registration is 31 March 2019.
