Benefits of working for us

Our people power everything we do for the Parkinson’s community. That’s why we believe you deserve to be rewarded and supported with great benefits.

Whether you’re joining our HR or legal departments, or our fundraising or campaigns teams, you’ll make a real difference to the lives of people with Parkinson’s and their loved ones.

Here are some of the benefits you’ll get when you join the Parkinson’s UK team.

Flexi-time

Our flexi-time scheme means that you can choose when you work, as long as you're in between the core hours of 10am to 4pm. You can also build up hours and take them back at an agreed time.

Hybrid working and remote roles

We also offer flexibility when it comes to where you work, too. We offer both hybrid contracts and fully remote home-based roles.

Learning and development

We want you to learn and grow during your time at Parkinson’s UK. From welcome days to management training, we'll make sure you're confident in your role, our brand, and Parkinson's as a condition.

Investing in your development is a priority, so there are plenty of opportunities to grow your skills and develop your career. We also offer interest-free study loans, for learning outside of Parkinson's UK.

Annual leave

We offer 25 days of annual leave plus bank holidays. You’ll also get an extra 3 days off between Christmas and New Year.

Your annual leave will increase to 26 days after 2 years of service, and 27 days after 4 years.

If you work part-time, your annual leave will be represented in hours.

Pension

We contribute up to 6% of basic salary into a group personal pension plan.

Contributions are matched on a 2 to 1 basis. For example, if you pay 1% of your salary, we will pay 2%.

Employee assistance programme

We’re partnered with Spectrum.Life, which offers a range of services to help support you and your family, including free counselling, legal advice, health information and support, and more.

Mental health first aiders

Our mental health first aiders are trained to act as your first point of contact if you’re experiencing a mental health issue. They’re a source of advice, support and guidance, and can point you in the right direction if you need more help.

We also offer:

  • death in service cover
  • interest-free season ticket loan
  • Ride-to-Work scheme
  • sabbatical leave
  • maternity, paternity, adoption and shared parental pay
  • disability leave
  • family leave.
