Hosted by Specialist Speech and Language Therapist, Caroline Bartliff, the meeting will enable delegates to learn more about the newly formed CEN and to come together to discuss the latest updates and topics within speech and language therapy in Parkinson's.

It will also provide an opportunity to introduce the CEN committee and the group's partnership working with the Parkinson's Excellence Network.

This event supports speech and language therapists and allied healthcare professionals with their continuing professional development (CPD) to support, signpost and improve outcomes for people with Parkinson's.

During the meeting you'll hear from several speakers, including:

  • The Beautiful Voice team and Telea, both of whom have developed new technologies to support voice therapy.
  • Hannah Hornby from Buckinghamshire Healthcare NHS Trust, who will be giving an update on her quality improvement project to develop a swallow screening tool, funded by the Excellence Network project grants scheme
  • Kathleen Graham, who will be giving an update on the Royal College of Speech and Language Therapy (RCSLT) clinical guidelines.
