With the continued risks of coronavirus (COVID-19), and uncertainty over how lockdown restrictions are changing throughout the UK, we’ve sadly taken the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Walk for Parkinson’s events.
Your health and your support is important to us. So we've made a decision that’s clear for you, and removes risk and uncertainty.
Lockdown has changed all of our lives. And for many people with Parkinson’s, symptoms have got worse over the last few months. Parkinson’s didn’t stop for coronavirus, and neither did we. We’re supporting people in the ways they need us to right now. And we’re rapidly adapting our pioneering research so that we can develop new treatments.
This is why your commitment is so important.
We were hoping 2020’s Walk for Parkinson’s events would raise over £500,000. So we were speaking to venues, local councils and other suppliers in the hope of being able to come together at our walks later in the year. Now that we can’t do this, we’re looking to next year. You can register your interest for 2021 and we will update you as soon as we have venues confirmed.
