Can memory and thinking assessments help to diagnose Parkinson’s?

Researchers at Durham University are investigating whether assessments such as memory and emotion recognition tests can help make it easier to tell the difference between Progressive Supranuclear Palsy and Parkinson’s.

Who

28 people with Parkinson’s and 28 people without Parkinson’s 

     •  aged between 18 and 80

     •  who live no more than 2 hours from Durham city

What

• You will take part in 3 sessions, either from your home or Durham University 

•  Each session is expected to last 1.5 hours and will involve a clinician carrying out tests to measure your eye movements, visual attention, memory and face emotion recognition
