Identifying challenges faced by people with Parkinson’s during COVID 19

A PhD student at Glasgow Caledonian University is investigating the challenges people with Parkinson’s faced during the COVID 19 pandemic. They want to identify gaps in the care and support received at the peak of the pandemic.

The results will help healthcare institutions better prepare for future healthcare crises.

Who

•  30 people with Parkinson’s who were diagnosed before 2022

•  20 people working in charities that support people with Parkinson’s, who started before 2022

What

•  People with Parkinson’s will take part in a 1 hour interview about their experiences of healthcare and support before, during, and after the COVID 19 pandemic

•  Charity workers will take part in a 1 hour interview about their experiences of supporting people with Parkinson’s before, during, and after the COVID 19 pandemic

•  Interviews can take place online on Microsoft Teams, over the phone or by email
