The Horsham and District local group is attempting to achieve big things with their 2019 single, ‘This Christmas Time’.
This Christmas, the Horsham and District local group have done something a little different - they’ve created their own Christmas song as the Parkinson’s Choir.
Orchestrated by composer Madeline Castry, ‘This Christmas Time’ has been specially created by the Parkinson’s community as a unique recording for Parkinson’s UK. The song aims to increase awareness of Parkinson’s, and all proceeds raised from the song will be donated to the charity to help fund support for those affected and research into the condition.
As Parkinson’s has such a large impact on those affected - and their families - Madeline and the group wanted to create a unique composition. The song is based on statements and conversation within the Horsham and District group, highlighting the struggle of living with the condition as well as the unifying message of hope. By coming together, especially at this time of year, we can be stronger as we look to the future for a cure.
You can support Parkinson’s UK and the Parkinson’s Choir by purchasing the song on iTunes and by streaming the song digitally on Spotify. You can also help by sharing the song with your friends and family.
The group hope that many people will come together to listen to their piece of music, the same way they came together to create it.
