Clare can't stand by
"I was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2016. Participating in and donating funds towards research projects is vital in leading us to a better understanding of the disease, how to treat it and ultimately to find that cure.
"A cure would mean everything to me. It would bring back the hope for the future and the light back into the world. I want to do my bit as I can’t stand by and do nothing. As a community we must do this together."
Hema can make a difference
"I got the diagnosis of Parkinson’s and just thought ‘How am I going to manage?'
"I couldn’t write properly anymore. I couldn’t stand up for long periods. I knew I had to give up the job I loved. It felt like my life had been flipped out of control. To suddenly be out of work with nothing to do was such a shock.
"Now, my whole day is controlled by my Parkinson’s medication and how my body reacts to it. Parkinson’s has come on so hard. I just wish there was a treatment that could give me my life back."
