We're delighted to welcome the final members of our leadership teams. Introducing our new clinical lead for therapy and our regional clinical leads for the midlands, south east and London.
If you're a regular reader of our newsletter, you'll know we've had a bit of change in the Excellence Network's Clinical Leadership team, with Fiona Lindop stepping back from the clinical lead for therapy role to enjoy a well deserved retirement. You can read our farewell to Fiona here.
You'll also know that we've been steadily growing our regional clinical lead team to take forward our Excellence Network's new regional model in England.
Antonella Macerollo (North West region), Sarah Fraser (North East and Yorkshire), Alistair Mackett (East of England) and Emily Henderson (South West) are already making a lot of progress in their roles.

Completing our Clinical Leadership team
Julie Jones is a seasoned member of the Excellence Network and well known across the whole Parkinson's community due to her tireless work on the benefits of exercise. Find out more about Julie's work.
Julie Jones, Clinical Lead for Therapy
Julie is an Associate Dean and Associate Professor in the School of Health at Robert Gordon University. Her role spans education, clinical practice, and research, with a strong focus on advancing care for people with Parkinson’s. She is Co-Lead of the North of Scotland Parkinson’s Excellence Network and plays an active role in a range of community-based Parkinson’s projects.
A physiotherapist by background, Julie continues to maintain a small clinical caseload and has been instrumental in developing community exercise classes for people with Parkinson’s and other long-term conditions. She is deeply committed to enhancing access to specialist services, promoting therapy-based rehabilitation, and enabling effective self-management through equitable and innovative approaches to care.
Julie’s research interests include rehabilitation, gait, digital-enabled rehabilitation, self-management, and care in the later stages of Parkinson’s. In recognition of her contributions, she received the Parkinson’s Excellence Network People’s choice award and the Community support award in 2023 for her leadership in the Excellence Network Exercise Hub.
"I am delighted to have been appointed to this role. My aim is to champion and raise the profile of the vital contribution that therapy-based professions make in the management of Parkinson’s.
"I am particularly keen to focus on improving access to these therapies, ensuring timely and targeted interventions that enable people with Parkinson’s to live well and maintain quality of life throughout their journey."

Completing our Regional Clinical Lead team in England
Amanda Mobley, Fiona Hallsworth and Miriam Parry have joined us as leads for the midlands, south east and London regions respectively. Read on to find out more about them.
Amanda Mobley, Regional Clinical Lead for the Midlands
Amanda is a Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist and she leads the neuropsychology services in Leicestershire. She works with people with a wide range of acquired and degenerative neurological conditions, including Parkinson’s.
She's passionate about promoting good mental health for people with Parkinson’s and their families from the point of diagnosis to complex and palliative stages, and strongly believes that part of good mental health requires clear pathways and collaborative working between mental health and Parkinson’s services. Amanda also works with the British Psychological Society Policy Unit and was involved in the recent publication of the Psychological Services for People with Parkinson’s guidance document.
"I am thrilled to have been appointed as the regional clinical lead for the Midlands Regional Excellence Network. I am looking forward to the opportunities to work with colleagues across the region, share best practice examples, research and innovation in provision of high quality care for people with Parkinson’s and their families."
Amanda Mobley
Fiona Hallsworth, Regional Clinical Lead for the South East
Fiona is a specialist neurological physiotherapist who leads community neuro-rehabilitation teams within the NHS in Kent. Her work focuses on supporting people with Parkinson’s and other neurological conditions to enhance quality of life, and reduce hospital admissions.
In 2025, Fiona received 2 East Kent People’s Promise Awards in recognition of her leadership in fostering flexible multidisciplinary teamwork and her commitment to supporting international colleagues.
Her clinical interests include student education and promoting wellbeing for people with advanced and palliative Parkinson’s. She is also a strong advocate for equitable access to care, particularly for individuals with long-term neurological conditions living in rural and coastal communities.
"I feel very privileged to have this opportunity to work with a wide range of dedicated colleagues in the Network.
"I look forward to listening to the needs of the region and collaborating to drive improvements in care for people with Parkinson’s."
Fiona Hallsworth
Miriam Parry, Regional Clinical Lead for London
Miriam is a Parkinson’s Disease Nurse Consultant at King’s College Hospital NHS Trust, 1 of only 2 UK Parkinson’s Foundation Centres of Excellence. With extensive expertise in advanced therapies, multidisciplinary leadership, and service development, she has pioneered innovative pathways to improve Parkinson’s care across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings. Recognised internationally for her contributions to research and clinical practice, Miriam is committed to advancing person-centred, evidence-based services and workforce development to improve outcomes for people with Parkinson’s.
"I am honoured to be the regional clinical lead for the London Regional Excellence Network. I am committed to strengthening collaboration across the region, supporting workforce development, and ensuring people with Parkinson’s receive the right care, at the right time, from the right professional.
"I look forward to working with colleagues to advance person-centred, evidence-based services and drive meaningful improvements in Parkinson’s care."
