Local groups
Parkinson's UK has around 365 volunteer-led local groups throughout the UK, offering local support to people with Parkinson's, their carers and families.
Our local groups are for anyone with a connection to Parkinson's.
Meetings can be informal, with a chance to talk and discuss worries and experiences. Or some may include a presentation by an invited speaker, such as a healthcare professional.
Many groups hold social events and activities too.

A life for living
"There’s always someone in the group that says they’ve been through the same things. It’s really good, people understand and you often can’t have those same chats with someone who doesn’t have Parkinson’s."
After Mariëtte was diagnosed with Parkinson's, she put her fears aside and went along to her local group and has never looked back.
