Exploring ways to make movement disorder research more inclusive
Researchers want to work with people from ethnic minority backgrounds who have movement conditions like Parkinson’s.
They are looking for ways to make it easier for more people from these communities to take part in research. To ensure studies are more inclusive and representative of different ethnic groups in the future.
20 people with a movement condition such as Parkinson’s
• Who identify as a member of an ethnic minority group, for example Black, Asian or mixed heritage
• And can travel to University College London
• Completing a 15 minute survey about your opinions on taking part in research
• Taking part in a 4 hour focus group including breaks and lunch, at University College London where you'll discuss your opinions on participating in research
• You'll join 1 focus group on either:
• Wednesday 9 July from 11am to 3pm
• Wednesday 10 September from 11am to 3pm
• You'll be reimbursed £75 for taking part and £25 for travel expenses
