Parkinson’s UK raises £377,000 at their Flagship Gala at the Roundhouse
Parkinson’s UK returned to the iconic Roundhouse for an unforgettable evening of music and celebration to support the Parkinson’s UK Nurse Appeal.
Parkinson's UK Presents: a night at the Roundhouse, which took place on Thursday 6 November, saw over 450 guests support the charity and raise an incredible £377,000. That's enough to fund 3 Parkinson’s nurses.
The event, hosted by the incredibly entertaining Brian Conley, saw singer Alexandra Burke open the show with stunning performances of ‘Hallelujah’ and ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody', setting the tone for a fantastic night ahead.
The energy continued throughout the evening with exceptional performances from Adam O’Connor, Lo Lauren, The George Michael Singers, Steve Sidwell and the All Stars, the Kramer Durcan Duo, and the John Altman Trio.
Heartfelt speeches from Parkinson’s UK Chief Executive Caroline Rassell and actor Samantha Spiro, led to Parkinson’s Nurse Clare Lindley, who lives with Parkinson’s, delivering an inspiring speech about her journey from diagnosis to becoming a Parkinson’s Nurse.
Parkinson's nurses and specialist healthcare providers are a lifeline for the 166,000 people in the UK living with Parkinson's.
The event would not have been a success without the support of: our incredible event committee, the outstanding performers who gave up their time to be there, our generous sponsors and prize donors, the Frank Brake Charitable Trust, our cornerstone donor for the Nurse Appeal for their generous match funding, and of course, all our generous guests.
