This news story is about an event that has passed.

Brain sculptures designed by famous artists, for Parkinson's UK

Acclaimed artists have designed brain sculptures which will be exhibited at Koppel X in Piccadilly Circus, London. Artists including Alex Echo, who has Parkinson’s, Gavin Turk and Tracey Emin have created a collection of unique sculptures that represent what the brain means to them.

The free exhibition is at Koppel X, 48 Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus, London and will be open:

  • Friday 28 October, 11am to 8pm
  • Saturday 29 October, 8am to 8pm
  • Sunday 30 October, 10am to 4pm.

The brain sculptures will be auctioned by The Auction Collective at Christie's. Everything raised at the auction will be donated to Parkinson’s UK, helping us to continue to support the Parkinson’s community.

A free workshop led by world renowned artists

As well as the exhibition, Alex Echo will also be hosting free workshops alongside British artist LUAP. You’ll have the chance to explore what your brain means to you and design your very own piece of brain artwork!

Workshops are free and open to all, including kids. They’ll run for around an hour. You don’t need to book.

To join, come along to Koppel X, 48 Regent Street, Piccadilly Circus, London from 11am on:

  • Friday 28 October

Lighting up for Parkinson's

We're so excited to be featured on the famous Piccadilly Lights in early November.

An animation created by Alex Echo will be taking over the big screens, to raise awareness of Parkinson's UK. The animation will also advertise the Me, My Brain and I exhibition and auction which is raising money for Parkinson's UK so that we can continue to be there for the Parkinson's community.

The takeover is thanks to Landsec, who kindly donated a time slot on the big screens. And led by artist LUAP and his team at Alt Co Clique.
