Who is the course for?

This course is for allied health professionals, Parkinson's nurses, doctors and any professionals that have an interest in learning more about this topic.

What will participants learn?

The course has the following learning outcomes:

  • Understand the wide-ranging effects of sleep problems and fatigue for people with Parkinson's
  • Develop an awareness of the resources available to help health professionals assess the severity of sleep problems and fatigue for people with Parkinson's
  • Learn about the available guidance and treatments for people with Parkinson's experiencing sleep problems and fatigue
  • Appreciate the things to consider for people with Parkinson's experiencing sleep problems and fatigue around driving, swimming and operating machinery
  • Understand how challenging fatigue can be for people with Parkinson's

How does it work?

You will be able to read online about the subject, supported by multimedia and interactive resources. At the end of the course, you will take an assessment (multiple choice quiz) to demonstrate what you have learnt. You will then attend a 1 hour webinar to discuss what you have learnt, including the challenges and solutions.

You can log in at any time to this self-directed learning to work through the learning course and assessment at a pace that suits you.

A certificate and digital badge are available to download once you have passed the assessment which gives CPD points.

The course, webinar and assessment should take a minimum of 3 hours to complete. The presentation, additional learning resources and webinar each take approximately 1 hour.
