Excellence Network pump priming funding
Our Excellence Network supports services to recruit and retain specialist staff to improve care for people with Parkinson’s.
Our flagship Complete Care for Parkinson’s programme allowed us to significantly expand our pump priming scheme to support the growth of the Parkinson's specialist nurse and allied health professional workforce.
We set an ambitious target of funding 20 new nurse posts and 20 new allied health Professional posts by the end of 2025. Since 2022, we've funded 41 new posts in the NHS.
We're committed to supporting the NHS in growing and developing excellent health and care services for people with Parkinson’s. Pump priming is just one of the ways that we can support you.
In 2026, we'll be working closely with services directly where there is an identified need for Parkinson’s nurse and allied health professionals posts.
