Parkinson's Disease Specialist Pharmacy Network (PDSPN) 2026 Conference
The Parkinson's Disease Specialist Pharmacy Network's (PDSPN) educational conference will bring together pharmacy professionals, members of the wider pharmacy team, pharmacy students and Parkinson's health and care professionals with a special interest in Parkinson’s for a day of learning and networking.
This year, the theme of the conference is 'Innovating care in Parkinson’s – the evolving role of pharmacy.
Through expert speaker sessions and workshops, the conference will focus on the latest information and developments in the management and diagnosis of Parkinson’s.
The educational sessions will support pharmacists and allied health care professionals with their Continuing Professional Development (CPD) and enable them to advise, support, signpost, and improve outcomes for people with Parkinson’s.
The conference will include the following sessions:
- polypharmacy and role of the pharmacy team, delivered by our keynote speaker, Dr Robin Fackrell
- learn about a Parkinson's UK programme connecting with the newly diagnosed and hear from a Young Onset Parkinson’s lived experience speaker
- supporting Parkinson’s awareness and education within the multidisciplinary team
- hear from the first Parkinson's UK pump-primed pharmacist
- get an update on the first UK Parkinson's Audit hospital pharmacy results
- movement advice and active exercise in Parkinson’s
- take part in workshops on the topics of: independent prescribing, South Tees experience of foscarbidopa/ foslevodopa and the impact of impulse control disorders.
