How does taking part in sport affect wellbeing?
A PhD student is exploring how taking part in sports affects people with neurological conditions, like Parkinson's. They hope to build on evidence that this type of exercise improves wellbeing.
56 people with Parkinson's, multiple sclerosis, stroke, or cerebral palsy, who can walk unassisted.
You can take part whether you currently play sports or not.
Unfortunately, people who play sports professionally are unable to take part.
Submitting a monthly log of sports activity and exercise for 3 months.
1 hour fitness assessments at the research site to test balance, flexibility and strength at the beginning and end of the study.
Filling in surveys at the beginning and end of the study. These will include questions about lifestyle and physical activity. They'll take 20 minutes to complete. The survey and log can be filled out online or on paper.
You will be reimbursed for your time with a £15 Amazon voucher after each fitness assessment.
