Improving bone health medication for people with dementia
People with dementia are more likely to have falls which result in broken bones. There are several types of medicine used to improve bone health which are taken in different ways. Researchers want to find out what people affected by dementia think about bone health and these medicines.
10 people with dementia, including Parkinson’s dementia or dementia with Lewy bodies
• Who have been recommended or are currently taking medication for osteoporosis, a condition where bones become fragile
• Live in England, Scotland, Wales, or Northern Ireland
Supporters such as family members or friends can take part with their loved one or independently
Taking part in a 1 hour interview with the researcher
• You may complete an optional diary before the interview to help you share what’s most important to you
• The interview will feel like a conversation where you can share your thoughts, feelings and experiences. There are no right or wrong answers.
• This can take place in person at your home if you’re within travel distance of Staffordshire, or over the phone or video call
You’ll be offered a £20 shopping voucher as a thank you for your time
