What challenges does extreme weather cause for people with Parkinson’s?
Extreme weather events, like heatwaves, are becoming more common. They can make Parkinson’s symptoms harder to manage. Building on previous research, this study explores how these events affect the symptoms and daily lives of people with Parkinson’s.
12 people with Parkinson’s or supporters of people with Parkinson’s who live in the UK.
Taking part in a 1.5 hour focus group
• Groups may be hosted in person in London or online over Microsoft teams
• 1 to 1 interviews can be offered for people unable to join a focus group
Discussions will focus on experiences of extreme weather, its impact on symptoms and coping strategies.
