Parkinson’s Academy annual scientific meeting 2026
Join the Parkinson's Academy for their 9th annual scientific meeting designed to advance scientific insights for specialists working in Parkinson’s.
This years theme is 'Cutting edge science for Parkinson’s clinicians' aimed at leading Parkinson’s clinicians and multidisciplinary specialists. The day is designed to create space for ambitious, challenging conversations where experts can test assumptions, interrogate the evidence, and leave with practical insight they can apply immediately in clinic.
The 2026 meeting brings together national and international leaders in Parkinson’s research and clinical care to explore what’s changing now – and what’s coming next – across Parkinson's biological drivers and the complex realities of day-to-day management. Through a programme of expert talks and discussion, the meeting will unpack emerging science and translate it into clear clinical relevance, helping delegates navigate uncertainty and make confident decisions in practice.
Topics will include:
- neuro-urology: early and late-stage assessment and management
- the immune system in Parkinson’s: what new models are teaching us about clinical disease
- genetics of 'atypical' Parkinsonian disorders
- gene therapies: how close are we to a breakthrough in neurological disorders?
- the neuropsychiatry of Parkinson’s
- understanding and treating psychosis in Parkinson’s
- the gut–brain axis in Parkinson’s.
