Improving Parkinson’s diagnosis using brain scans
Researchers want to improve the diagnosis and monitoring of Parkinson’s as it progresses.
They’re developing a tool that uses MRI scans to measure changes in the brain that may be linked to Parkinson’s.
• 20 people with Parkinson’s diagnosed less than 5 years ago
• 20 people with Parkinson’s diagnosed more than 5 years ago
• 20 people without Parkinson’s
1 visit to the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery in London:
• You’ll complete a 30 minute screening survey
• And a 1 hour MRI scan. Read more about MRI scans on the NHS website.
Travel expenses will be reimbursed up to £40.
