Excellence Network project grants workshop
This online workshop is for health professionals interested in developing service improvement projects and applying for funding through the Parkinson's UK Excellence Network project grants scheme in 2026 or beyond.
Current and past grant holders will offer their advice on developing a service improvement project. Expert and lay review and funding panel members will talk about what makes successful applications.
Agenda
- 10.30am to 10.35am: Welcome and housekeeping.
- 10.35am to 10.45am: Excellence Network funding opportunities — our vision and mission, 2026 themes.
- 10.45am to 11am: Developing a sustainable project and writing a winning application. Katherine Lloyd, successful grant holder.
- 11am to 11.20am: Navigating your project from start to finish and beyond (sharing learnings and impact), including using QI methodology in practice. Veronica Clarke, grant holder with completed project.
- 11.20am to 11.30am: 10 minute comfort break.
- 11.30am to 11.45am: What we seek and why it matters. Jan McHarry, reviewer with lived experience.
- 11.45am to 12.05pm: How funding decisions are made — critical success factors. Camille Carroll, expert funding panel member.
- 12.05pm to 12.20pm: Meaningfully integrating the perspectives of people with Parkinson’s into your project. Julie Jones, Patient and Public Involvement and Engagement advocate.
