Join our Speech and Language Therapy Parkinson's Clinical Excellence Network for their in-person meeting. All UK-based speech and language therapy professionals working in Parkinson's are invited to come together for a day of networking and learning.
This event offers speech and language therapists the opportunity to network, share valuable insights, and learn about the latest updates in the field's evidence base.
Through collaborative learning we'll explore service improvement pathways, giving you the space to reflect on your current practice and discover ways to develop and elevate your own services.
The event's focus is: Complex Parkinson's challenges and care
Key topics will include:
- an interactive session from Powerbreathe: a company that provides devices for respiratory muscle strength training
- an update from our Excellence Network and the UK Parkinson's Audit
- top tips for working with and managing progressive supranuclear palsy (PSP)
- a full afternoon featuring expert perspectives on deep brain stimulation (DBS) alongside insights into what it's like to live with DBS, exploring both its cognitive and emotional impact.
We'll post a full agenda here closer to the event.
Lunch and refreshments will be provided. There will be a small charge for tickets this year allowing us to provide expert speakers and deliver a high quality learning experience for delegates.
