Our South Wales Regional Excellence Network meeting aims to bring together all health and care professionals involved in caring for patients with Parkinson’s across the South of Wales, to learn, network and share ideas. The event is open to all professionals, including non-specialists, to help develop their knowledge and understanding of the condition. 

There will also be an opportunity to hear about the UK Parkinson's 2025 Audit findings and how to use the data collected for service improvement.

Key topics on the day will include: 

  • a session on 'Exploiting dopamine receptor pharmacology in Parkinson’s disease', delivered by Professor Peter Jenner
  • a research update from Parkinson's UK 
  • a talk focused on confusion and delirium delivered by Dr Richard Bevan-Jones
  • a session on 'Focused Ultrasound for Parkinson's Disease', delivered by Dr Tom Gilbertson.
