Can a self-compassion app support the mental health of carers?

Caring for a loved one can be both rewarding and challenging. A researcher wants to find out if a digital app to support self-compassion is helpful to supporters of people with neurological conditions like Parkinson’s.

Who

15 unpaid supporters of a person with a neurological condition, such as Parkinson’s, who have access to a device which connects to the internet.

What

Using the 'self-compassion app' on your phone or tablet for up to 6 weeks. The researcher will contact you via email every 2 weeks.

Completing 2 surveys, which will take 1 hour to complete, at the beginning and end of the study.

A 1 hour interview with the researcher online or over the phone about your experience using the app. Interview questions can also be completed by email if preferred.
