There are around 365 Parkinson's UK local groups throughout the UK. These are run by volunteers who usually have experience of Parkinson's and are supported by Parkinson's UK staff.
The Parkinson's UK local group has given me confidence to try new things and is now an integral part of my life.

The groups welcome family members and carers, and some involve health or social care professionals.
Meetings can be informal - a chance to talk and discuss worries and experiences - or may include a presentation by an invited speaker, such as a healthcare professional or complementary therapist.
Many groups hold social events and activities too.

Younger people's groups
Younger people (ie those under retirement age) often contact us wanting to be put in touch with other younger people with Parkinson's.
