Understanding control of impulsive behaviours in people with Parkinson’s
Researchers at the University of Manchester are exploring impulse control in people with Parkinson’s. The aim of the research is to identify if some people have a greater tendency to make more risky decisions and whether this behaviour could be linked to Parkinson’s.
• 7 people with Parkinson’s who are 50 to 80 years old not experiencing problems with impulsive behaviour
• 1 person without Parkinson’s
• Attending 1 online session and 2 visits to the University of Manchester within 1 week
• The online session will last less than an hour
• At the visits you will be asked to fill in a range of surveys and complete assessments
• Each in person session will last for 2-3 hours and can be on the same day if preferred
• All travel costs will be reimbursed
