Experiences of people with Parkinson’s using mental health services
A PhD student wants to understand access to mental health support for people with Parkinson’s. They want to find out if existing routes to support are suitable or if they need to be adapted to better serve people with Parkinson’s.
12 people with Parkinson’s in the UK who:
• have received 4 or more sessions of mental health support in the last 5 years through a non-Parkinson’s specialist, such as a Cognitive Behavioural Therapist
• accessed this mental health support after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s for at least 1 year
Unfortunately, those who are receiving ongoing mental health support are unable to take part.
A 1 hour interview with the researcher about your experiences accessing mental health services. You can take part online or over the phone.
For more information, please read the participant information sheet.
