Meet our latest England regional clinical leads
All of our regional Excellence Networks across the UK now have a regional clinical lead thanks to the final 2 England leads taking up their posts.
Read on to find out about the new South East and North East and Yorkshire regional clinical leads, and what their aims are.
Eva Bunting, Regional Clinical Lead for South East England
Dr Bunting is a Consultant Neurologist at University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust. Prior to taking up that post, Eva had completed an Association of British Neurologists (ABN) movement disorder fellowship at King's College London. Originally from Belfast, Eva studied medicine at Sheffield and then completed her postgraduate medical training in Sussex and London.

Nicola Pavese, Regional Clinical Lead for North East and Yorkshire
Dr Pavese, MD, PhD, FRCP, FEAN is Professor of Clinical Neuroscience at Newcastle University and Honorary Consultant Neurologist with a specialist clinical practice in Parkinson’s and related disorders, including complex
therapies. He is the Clinical Lead of the Deep Brain Stimulation Service and the Director of the Clinical Ageing Research Unit, overseeing academic research projects and clinical trials of new disease-modifying drugs for Parkinson's and Parkinsonisms.
Nicola chairs the Posture and Gait Disorders Working Group of the International Parkinson’s and Movement Disorder Society, and he is a standing member of several study groups and panels for the European Academy of Neurology. His research focuses on the early identification and progression of neurodegenerative disease, spanning biomarkers, molecular imaging, and clinical trials.
"I’m delighted to be taking on this role as regional clinical lead for the North East Regional Excellence Network and to be working with colleagues across the region to support better care for people living with Parkinson’s. I see this as an opportunity to strengthen connections, encourage collaboration across different professional groups, and build on the good work already happening in the region. I’m looking forward to the conversations and shared learning ahead."
Now we have all of our Excellence Network regional clinical leads in place in England, and they’re already starting to drive change in their areas, we're looking forward to seeing our Excellence Network go from strength to strength.
