Excellence Network project grants: celebrating milestones and 2025 awardees
We're thrilled to announce the results of our 2025 small project grants round, with funding awarded to 5 services nationwide to enhance Parkinson’s care.
These initiatives will help improve care in Parkinson’s for communities across North West London, Glasgow, Manchester, Liverpool and Salisbury. The projects awarded aim to address healthcare disparities, lack of access to neurological services, nutrition support, atypical Parkinsonism pathways, and management of non-motor symptoms for people with Parkinson’s and carers through breathwork.

Our funded projects' latest achievements
We’re also celebrating the completion of 2 projects we’ve previously funded :
- A team at North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust identified the barriers and care needs for people with advanced Parkinson’s, leading to an enhanced home visit protocol and fairer service provision in areas of deprivation.
- JPR@Research+Me, an online research registry connecting people with Parkinson's and researchers, launched in March. Based in Newcastle and Plymouth, the team continues to refine its functionality and accessibility with a further grant.
Feeling inspired to start your own project? Look out for our 2026 application dates on our grants scheme webpage. We'll be publishing them soon.
