It was so good last year, we are doing it again!

Parkinson’s Does Strictly was so successful last year, that we are doing it again. The event will see 10 couples taken to the dance floor, perform 2 dances and compete for the all-important glitterball trophy.

Last year’s event was won by Bangor man, Paul McCourt, 60. Paul was diagnosed with Parkinson’s nine years ago, and had never danced before. Paul told us:

"The dress rehearsal was a disaster and on the night I took a freezing episode and literally couldn’t go out! But the third time we were called someone gave me a nudge and I was able to get out there. No one was more shocked than me when we won!"

Nicola McClure, Northern Ireland Regional Fundraiser, told us: “You don’t need any experience, and we can match you up with a partner if you’re an individual.”
