What we achieved in 2025, together

We achieved so much in 2025. And it’s all thanks to your support.

Whether you’ve held a fundraiser, donated to our research, campaigned for better services or volunteered at a group, you’ve made a huge difference. And we couldn’t have done any of this without you. Thank you for being a part of this community and improving the lives of people with Parkinson’s.

Our community

Through listening to our community, we delivered the support, activities and opportunities that people with Parkinson’s needed to live well. Our free, confidential helpline, supported by trained advisers and specialist nurses, scored 4.6 out of 5 on our satisfaction survey this year.

We know being active is one of the best ways to live well with Parkinson’s and we’ve seen even more success for our Physical Activity programme in 2025. With £199,000 delivered in funding, we’ve been able to fund 66 new projects this year, from non-contact boxing and chair-based yoga to adapted rowing.

We also launched a new video series on YouTube for South Asian communities, to help raise awareness of Parkinson’s, address common misunderstandings and break down myths and taboos.

Brand refresh

We revealed our refreshed brand, developed with the Parkinson’s community. We listened and recognised we needed to shift our focus and be more accessible and relevant to everyone.

Thank you to our community who gave their time and expertise during our brand refresh. Thanks to you, we can be there for every Parkinson’s journey.

Thank you for supporting us in 2025

A special thank you video to look back at the incredible highlights and achievements that you made possible this year.

Par-Con 2025

One of our standout moments this year was Par-Con, our inspiring 2-day community convention focused on research and living well with Parkinson’s. It was a wonderful mix of positivity, emotion, and hope. From updates on the search for better treatments to an uplifting dance session with Angela Rippon.

Life-changing research breakthroughs

We're on a journey from cause to cure to better treatments. And we've had plenty to celebrate this year as the leading European funder of Parkinson’s research.

We committed to funding at least 9 new research projects, with more to be confirmed. And we've co-funded 3 drugs that could slow and stop Parkinson's, which have entered phase 3 clinical trials. We also co-created a resource to help healthcare professionals talk about research, and translated our research leaflet into 6 languages.

From choosing what we fund, to shaping over 80 research projects, your help makes a huge difference.

We also joined forces with the UK Dementia Research Institute (UK DRI), to establish a pioneering, £10 million research centre. The new centre will recruit and bring together leading Parkinson’s researchers who are dedicated to finding new treatments and ultimately a cure.

Excellence Network 10-year anniversary

Our Excellence Network celebrated its 10-year anniversary this year. 10 years of changing the landscape of Parkinson’s care across the UK.

Nurse appeal

Our Nurse Appeal aims to give thousands of people with Parkinson’s access to the specialist care they need. And thanks to you, we're getting close to our £9 million target. Around 8,100 more people living with Parkinson's can now access specialist care.
