Stamps

We accept used, first and second class, foreign, first day covers, presentation packs and albums - so start supporting us today. 

How to recycle

Simply cut or carefully rip off the postage stamp from the used envelope, being careful that you don’t damage the stamp, and once you have a collection pop them in an envelope and send to us:

Mobile phones, cameras & gadgets

Not sure what to do with your old phone, laptop or MP3 players? They can all be recycled for Parkinson's UK!

We work with Recycling for Good Causes to recycle the following items: 

Mobile phones, video cameras, old film cameras, digital cameras, Sat Navs, game consoles, games and accessories, iPods, MP3 players, laptops and tablet computers

How to recycle

There are 2 easy ways to recycle electricals for Parkinson's UK.

If you have a small selection of gadgets you can use your own jiffy bag (no bigger than A5 in size) and post free of charge by printing out the freepost label (PDF, 60KB) and attaching to your envelope. 

If you have a larger collection of items or want to create a collection point for your area by involving your local community hall, school or workplace, simply request a recycling box or sack from Recycling for Good Causes and arrange a free collection when it's full or at a minimum weight of 10kg

Once collected, your donated goods are recycled and Parkinson's UK will receive a cheque for the recycled value.

Jewellery

Have you got old or broken jewellery knocking around that's destined for the bin? It could be worth more than you think.

Recycling for Good Causes recycle all kinds of jewellery, from gold and silver to costume jewellery and watches.

We're even able to recycle broken and damaged items, so hold onto those odd earrings and snapped chains.

How to recycle

If you have a small amount of jewellery you can use your own jiffy bag (no bigger than A5 in size) and post free of charge by printing out the freepost label (PDF, 60KB) and attaching to your envelope. 

If you would like to receive freepost recycling envelopes (A5 in size), please email [email protected] with your contact details and the number of envelopes you would like to receive.

If you have a large amount of jewellery that you would like to recycle, simply request a recycling box or sack from Recycling for Good Causes. When it's full, or at a minimum weight of 10kg for a free collection.

Currency

Still holding onto German Marks or Spanish Pesetas? Why not donate them to Parkinson's UK?

Coins

If you have a large number of coins that you would like to recycle, simply request a recycling box or sack from Recycling for Good Causes.

Cars

We've partnered with Giveacar to recycle unwanted cars and raise money for Parkinson's UK.

Whether your car is good as new, or ready for the scrap heap, every donation will help raise money to support people with Parkinson's.

How to recycle

Donating your car is quick and easy, simply visit the Giveacar website or call 020 7736 4242.

You will be asked to provide the following information:

  • the make and model of the vehicle you would like to donate
  • the charity you would like to nominate - Parkinson's UK
  • whether you would like to receive half of the value of your car or donate the full amount

Giveacar will arrange a free pick-up at a convenient time. Your car will be picked up and sent to scrap or auction.

You will receive a receipt and Parkinson's UK will receive your donation within 6 weeks of collection.
