Our BBC Radio 4 Appeal
Support our BBC Radio 4 Appeal and help us fund specialist Parkinson's care.
Between Sunday 19 July and Saturday 25 July, we'll be featured on the BBC Radio 4 Appeal show and website to raise money for our Nurse Appeal.
Right now, more than 28,000 people with Parkinson's don't have access to health specialists they desperately need to live well with the condition. Journalist and author Rory Cellan-Jones will be asking Radio 4 listeners to support our Nurse Appeal, which is raising money to create more specialist roles and protect the future of Parkinson's care.

Hugh's story
Hugh is a mechanic from West Yorkshire who was diagnosed with Parkinson’s at 46 years old. His diagnosis was given over the phone, with little information or support.
As his symptoms got worse, everyday life became more difficult. He didn’t know how to manage his condition because he had no access to specialist support. In the end, Hugh and his family moved house just to get access to a Parkinson’s nurse.
Thanks to his Parkinson’s nurse, Hugh’s stayed in work and kept his independence. He says having someone who understands Parkinson’s and listens to him has made a real difference to his life.
