About the course
This self-directed, foundation-level course will develop your knowledge and understanding of Parkinson’s. You'll explore the range of motor and non-motor symptoms people can experience, how Parkinson’s is managed, and how the condition progresses. Working at your own pace, you'll have opportunities to reflect on your current practice and explore practical approaches to enhance your support for people living with the condition.

What will you learn?
By the end of this course, you'll be able to:
- explain in simple terms what Parkinson’s is and who it can affect
- identify some of the symptoms of Parkinson’s (both motor and non-motor)
- recognise that Parkinson’s symptoms are managed through medication, exercise and access to allied health professionals
- outline the stages of Parkinson’s from diagnosis to advanced
- recognise that each person diagnosed with Parkinson’s will experience the condition uniquely.
