Improving mouth health for people with Parkinson’s
Researchers from the University of Sheffield are developing a Parkinson’s specific mouth care support programme. They want to work with people with Parkinson’s, their care partners and healthcare professionals to create this.
• 8 people with Parkinson’s
• 8 supporters of people with Parkinson’s
• 6 healthcare professionals, such as occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, or Parkinson's nurses.
You’ll be asked to take part in different activities for 5 months, which may be carried out at home, in-person in Sheffield, or online. These could include:
• Completing booklets or surveys, taking part in group discussions or providing feedback on drafts of the programme
• Online activities will take up to 1 hour and in person activities may last up to 4 hours, including breaks
• You can choose how many and the type of activities you take part in
• Activities can be provided by post, over the phone and in different languages if requested.
Travel expenses and your time will be reimbursed.
For more information, please read the participant information sheet.
