Service improvement grants
Service improvement grants are awarded to organisations that need some financial support to improve the service they offer to people affected by Parkinson's.
The grant can be used to cover equipment, consultancy fees, project management, developing tools to support patient care or to pump prime and develop the evidence base for a specialist therapy post.
A number of projects were supported in 2016 focusing on infection and falls prevention, consistent use of standardised assessments and timely provision of patient information.
