The organisations below can provide help and information to people in the advanced stages of Parkinson's, or those who care for them.

Age UK

This charity offers information and support to older people.

Alzheimer's Society

Care and research charity for people with Alzheimer's and other dementias, their families and carers. Covers England, Northern Ireland and Wales.

Alzheimer Scotland

A charity helping people with dementia and their carers and families in Scotland.

Bladder and Bowel community (B&B)

A UK-wide organisation that provides information and advice on a range of symptoms and conditions related to the bladder and bowel.

Care and Repair

A charity set up to improve the housing and living conditions of older people and disabled people.

Carers Trust

A national charity that exists to make it easier for carers to cope by providing information, support and practical help.

Carers UK

This charity provides information and advice about caring alongside practical and emotional support for carers.

Crossroads Caring for Carers Northern Ireland

Information and support for carers in Northern Ireland.

Crossroads Caring Scotland

A charity providing home-based respite through short breaks or longer periods of support for carers, and personal care for people living alone across Scotland.

Disability Action (Northern Ireland)

This organisation works to ensure that people with disabilities in Northern Ireland attain their full rights as citizens, by supporting inclusion, influencing government policy and changing attitudes in partnership with disabled people.

Disabled Living Foundation

A charity giving impartial advice and information on daily living aids, including mobility equipment.

Disability Rights UK

Provides people with disabilities with information on their rights and benefits. There's a charge for their Disability Rights Handbook, but this is reduced for people claiming benefit.

Dying Matters

A website led by the National Council for Palliative Care. Includes practical and emotional advice, templates for Advance Decisions, plus a community forum.

Hospice at Home

Hospice at Home aims to enable people with advanced illness to be cared for at home, and to die at home if that is their wish.

Hospice UK

The UK charity for hospice care.

Independent Age

A national charity providing information, advice and support services for older people. It also produces publications, such as the Care Home Handbook.

Relate

Provides relationship counselling and support services, delivered at 400 locations, by phone and online. The organisation also offers a live web chat service where you can talk to a relationship or family counsellor for up to 30 minutes for free.

The Relatives and Residents Association

Provides information and advice on care homes (fees, standards, complaints etc), as well as a 'listening ear' for those with emotional concerns.
