Benefits people over pension age can claim
Available in England, Wales and Northern Ireland, Attendance Allowance is for people who have an illness or disability, like Parkinson's, and need help with their personal care or safety.
Pension Age Disability Payment has replaced Attendance Allowance in Scotland, and has similar rules.
It's for people who have an illness or disability and need help with their personal care or safety.
Pension Credit is available UK-wide and can top up your State Pension if you have a low income.
Benefits people under pension age can claim
If you live in England, Wales or Northern Ireland and you need extra help with day-to-day activities or have trouble getting around due to a disability or illness, you may be able to claim PIP.
ADP is the new benefit replacing PIP in Scotland. You may be able to claim it if your disability or illness means you need extra help with day-to-day activities or have trouble getting around.
ESA is a UK-wide benefit for people whose ability to work is limited because of ill health or a disability.
Universal Credit is a means-tested benefit available throughout the UK to help with your living costs. You may be able to get it if you're on a low income, out of work or unable to work.
Benefits for carers
Carer's Allowance is for people who regularly spend at least 35 hours a week caring for someone with substantial care needs. It's available if you live in England, Wales or Northern Ireland.

There are several ways to get discounts on your Council Tax depending on your personal circumstances.
From help with fuel bills and funeral expenses to grants if you're disabled and need to make changes to your home, grants and loans are available to make life easier.
People with Parkinson's and unpaid carers can apply for a Parkinson's UK Personal Assistance Grant of up to £1,500.
