Information and support

Information and support workers (ISWs) provide one-to-one information and support to people with Parkinson's, their families and carers. This may include benefits advice, emotional support and links to local and other services.

Our information and support manager is responsible for the provision of information and support to people with Parkinson's, their families and those involved in providing care locally. She manages our information and support workers, builds and develops networks with other organisations that can help and organises information events across Wales.

Branch and volunteer support

We have over 25 local groups in Wales, providing a local network of support for people affected by Parkinson's. Groups meet regularly and hold regular events including social activities, fundraising events, exercise classes and more. Our branch and volunteer support officers can put you in touch with groups in your area.

Fundraising

Our fundraiser offers advice and support to anyone in Wales interested in raising money for us. She works with local groups, members, local companies, trusts and individual supporters to help them with their fundraising activities. To find out more, contact:

National Assembly for Wales, campaigns and improving local services

Decisions about Welsh health and social care are made at the National Assembly for Wales in Cardiff. Our campaigns, influence and service development officer campaigns to make sure that the voices of the 6,000 people with Parkinson's in Wales, their families and carers, are heard in the National Assembly and Welsh Government.
