Ballet Black at The Dorchester

On Friday 27 November, the Parkinson's Disease Society [now Parkinson's UK] and Bowel Disease Research Foundation held a wonderful special event hosted by John Stapleton and Jane Asher.

This magnificent evening was held in celebration of the Parkinson's Disease Society's 40th Anniversary and included a champagne reception, followed by a 3 course dinner, raffle and auction, and a performance by Ballet Black

Ballet Black aims to bring ballet to a more culturally diverse audience by celebrating black and Asian dancers in ballet.

The company recently danced for Sarah Brown and Michelle Obama in London and are truly inspirational performers.

The evening raised an outstanding £117,000 to be shared between the Parkinson's Disease Society and the Bowel Disease Research Foundation, in support of our research programmes.
