'Walking champion’ Dave Clark becomes an ambassador for Parkinson’s UK

Most recognisable from Sky Sports' live darts coverage, Dave Clark was diagnosed with Parkinson's in 2011 and has been an incredible support to Parkinson's UK over the years.

Dave has been an inspiration to the Parkinson’s community throughout the years. He’s taken on challenge after challenge and raised hundreds of thousands for Parkinson’s UK.

Since his diagnosis at the age of 44, he’s become our ‘walking champion’ for the charity. He’s raised over £200,000 through his walking challenges alone which include Coast to Coast and March for a Cure.

Dave said:

"I have been living with Parkinson’s for over 12 years, and it doesn't define me. I’m determined to stay positive and embrace life. I’m delighted to be a Parkinson’s UK ambassador and continue to throw myself into fundraising and awareness-raising about the condition."

Dave said he’s hoping the public will join him again this year in walking for Parkinson’s.

"Parkinson’s is the fastest growing neurological condition in the world, so finding a cure really can’t wait. Please, join us and thousands of others to take part in Walk for Parkinson’s. Together, we can make a real difference."
