Career development awards


The Parkinson's Disease Society is committed to the promotion and expansion of a diverse research community. The career development awards scheme aims to support researchers from a range of disciplines to develop their specific skills in Parkinson's research.


The closing date for the 2009 round of career development award applications has now passed.

 

Applications are invited annually.

 

The next deadline for receipt of applications will be 5pm on Friday 3 December 2010.

 

 

Types of award


This programme aims to support individuals in two ways:

 

ResearcherSenior research fellowships

 

For individuals who wish to specialise in Parkinson's research by establishing their own research group

 


 

Scientist's gloved handsTraining fellowships

 

For individuals who wish to undertake research training relevant to Parkinson's, with the aim of achieving a higher research degree

 

 

Application procedure

 

Applications for all research grants must be made via the Parkinson's Disease Society's online application system
