Parkinson's UK Take Control Grants

Parkinson's UK Take Control Grants are currently available in 4 carefully chosen areas of the UK to help people affected by Parkinson's improve their lives.

These are:

  • Lincolnshire and Northamptonshire
  • London South (including Richmond and Hounslow)
  • Northern Ireland
  • Yorkshire and Humber

People affected by Parkinson's in these areas can apply for a grant of up to £1,500. This can be used to buy things that will improve their quality of life or to help them access activities to improve their well-being.

From January 2019, we plan to make Take Control Grants available to people affected by Parkinson's throughout the UK.

We've launched Take Control Grants to replace our Mali Jenkins Fund which was suspended in 2014.

Who can apply

People with Parkinson's or other forms of progressive parkinsonism. Carers who aren't paid for their caring role are also eligible to apply for a grant. We don't count Carer's Allowance as being paid.

We're committed to offering grants to people affected by Parkinson's who are in the greatest financial need. To apply for a Take Control Grant your total household savings must be less than £16,000.
