Understanding anxiety in older adults from diverse cultural backgrounds

The aim of the research is to better understand how people over 65 experience anxiety and how their cultural backgrounds may affect the way they seek help and cope with it.


45 people over 65 years of age who self-identify as a 'worrier' or experience anxiety and stress. Rasha is specifically looking for people who are living in the UK and identify as being African/British African or Caribbean/British Caribbean.


Attending 2 online or phone interview sessions with Rasha. The first session will be approximately 30 minutes and include giving consent and completing some questionnaires.  The second session will last about 1 hour and be an in-depth discussion about your experiences of anxiety.
