The aim of the research is to determine whether an already licensed drug can help to prevent falls. The research trial will be happening at sites across the UK or you can take part from home.
300 people, over the age of 18, diagnosed with Parkinson's who have fallen in the past year. You will need to be able to walk at least 10 meters without a walking aid or assistance and not be taking Cholinesterase Inhibitors (such as donepezil and rivastigmine).
You will be asked to take part in 2 visits to the research site nearest you or at your home, one at the beginning of the research and one after 12 months.
At the first visit, you will be screened for eligibility and if found to be eligible you will be randomised to either receive the drug or a dummy drug.
