12 years ago, Suzanne Bourne's husband Matt was diagnosed with Parkinson's, aged just 31.
Below she explains the support the couple have had from Parkinson's UK, why she decided to give back as a volunteer - and why volunteers are vital to our work.
The importance of volunteering
"When Matt was diagnosed, our local branch was absolutely great, even though they didn't know us. I can't think where else or how else in life I would have met such a variety of people.
"You realise that this service wouldn't be available without all the volunteers doing their bit. So I decided to volunteer."
In this video, Suzanne talks about the importance of volunteering.
